In our biggest event of the year, we provided our guests with a variety of informational content and entertainment. Several guest speakers shared their expertise on all things credit and wellness, there was food, drinks, and raffles, a knowledgeable mental health panel, and live credit clinics and workshops to help individuals with their finances.
Credit Restoration Institute has many partnerships with different organizations, plenty of which were featured at our 2024 Summit Event. The Office of Minority Business Development, HOPE, RVA Financial, and KORE Mortgage were some that attended this event. The Summit Event was also sponsored by the City of Richmond Office of Community Wealth Building.
In March 2024, two members of our team, Robert and Jo Anne, taught two financial literacy classes to the participants of the New Life for Adults & Youth program in Richmond, VA. All of the participants were wonderful to teach—they were all engaging, communicative, and excited to learn. We were thrilled to have students that were so responsive to our lessons, asking many insightful questions and follow-up questions.
Following the financial literacy classes, the students had many kind words to say about our teachings. One said, "Attending the financial literacy class was truly eye-opening. I've always felt overwhelmed by money matters, but the facilitators broke down complex concepts into manageable chunks." Another one added, "I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to take control of their finances and build a brighter financial future."
This was an amazing event for various workshops, networking, information, & resources. We are so thankful to the Office Of Community Wealth Building (OCWB) for the annual invite and ongoing support for our non-profit—we've been able to help many more Richmond residents through your sponsorship.
On April 19, 2025, we attended the Better Housing Coalition graduation. Robert provided information for the other attendees and hosted an open Q&A forum to answer everyone's questions! We're ecstatic to see everyone's success stories and journeys to homeownership.
